▍Precautions

  • Child prices apply to children aged 5-15 years old, and infants under 5 years old can travel for free.
  • Infants and children must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Queenstown has four distinct seasons, but due to its location in the mountains, the weather can be unpredictable. Here are the temperatures you can expect: Summer (December to February) 19-29 degrees Celsius, Autumn (March to May) 15-25 degrees Celsius, Winter (June to August) 5-10 degrees Celsius, Spring (September to November) 9-15 degrees Celsius.
  • Recommended to bring shoes/boots (non-slip), warm clothing/jackets, sunscreen/sunglasses, camera, personal medications including asthma and allergy medications
  • It is recommended to purchase travel insurance on your own.
  • Please allow 30 minutes before you check in to find parking. Limited free on-street parking is available in streets surrounding central Queenstown. Paid parking is available at Man Street and Church Street car parks, and at Boundary Street and Ballarat Street car parks. Boundary Street and Ballarat Street car parks are suitable for motorhome parking. From there it is approximately a 15-minute walk to the RealNZ office.
  • All itinerary times are subject to the local time of the attraction and the final confirmation.
  • TSS Earnslaw is scheduled to undergo annual maintenance from 19 May to 9 September 2025. During this time, the Walter Peak High Country Farm Experience will be serviced by the Spirit of Queenstown, a modern catamaran.
  • The TSS Earnslaw is scheduled to operate daily throughout the year, except during annual maintenance. During the investigation, the TSS Earnslaw will be temporarily suspended and visitors can only experience Walter Peak Farm through the "Spirit of Queenstown".
